I have a few sigma lenses I will be selling here shortly and was wondering does anyone have any good way of cleaning the outside of them?

If you don't have or ever seen the Sigma lenses, it kind of a velvety material they use on the outer part. Not like a Canon where it is a type of metal and can easily be cleaned with a cloth and water.

Any suggestions?

And I have the 300-800mm F5.6 that goes for $11,000 brand new, how much do you think I should ask for this? I was hopeing to get somewhere around $7,000-$8,000 for it. I got this lens maybe 4 months ago brand new and have used it less then 10 times..

Thanks,
Jack

Well B & H sells them for $8K brand new...so I doubt you'll get that for it. I personally wouldn't clean them on the outside, I'd just leave them...but that's just me.

Whatever you do, don't put them in the dishwasher. Rarely works out.

I'd try a toothbrush (no toothpaste).
