I shoot with a 5D MII. I can't open a raw file. I've tried in Bridge, PS and Lightroom.

I get a message saying "Could not complete your request because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered"

Any ideas?

Is the file still on the card? If so, try re-importing it. If not, try Canon's software that comes with the camera.

New card or old card ?

Was it formatted for the 5DII ?

End of file errors typically mean a corrupted file.

The un-expected end of file mean that as the computer was trying to follow the trail of zeros and ones that make up a file, the trail ended. It may be any percentage of the file that is "missing" but the computer can't re-assemble it.

It can be the result of flawed media, static electricity, an interruption in saving or other influence that has caused the problem. If you can step back to earlier copies, that's your best bet.

Otherwise you can try a file recovery tool for your hard drive or for the card.

If that doesn't work, the image is hosed.
